Granite or Marble, Which one should you use?

With many kitchen and bathroom remodels in our business we often are asked, which one is better granite or marble. Here are a few things that can help you figure out this question, and help you decide which one fits you best.

Both of these stones have a beautiful and distinct look. Granite will have many grains and are typically darker with colors of blue, green, orange, pink and so on. Marble will have a larger pattern with veins running through it. Marble also will have less color than granite.

Granite tends to be harder than marble, but both are very durable and need to be properly sealed every few years. Granite also requires less maintenance than marble.

Marble tends to be more expensive than granite, but it all depends on the slab you choose, the complexity of the job, and the sink you choose.

Both stones are perfect for any kitchen or bathroom design.
