Do you plan on growing your own vegetables this summer?
Growing your own vegetables can be very rewarding no matter the size of the garden. It requires time and responsibility to make sure the food comes out just the way you like. But, there are a few things you should do before planting the seeds in the ground. Check out this check list for some tips:
1. Make sure your soil has all the nutrients your seeds need to grow. This means a lot of composting.
2. If you already have a vegetable garden, make sure you change the location of where you plant them each year. This will prevent and soilborne diseases.
3. Let your plants get plenty of sun. Most vegetable plants can survive on a full day of sun, just make sure to give them water.
